:bulletorange: Applying to be featured
Simply send us a note with the title "feature corner" or something along the lines and let us know what kind of feature you'd like.
We continuously get people asking why their art is declined, why did we take it off the group, why it's no longer apart of our group and so forth.

We are not doing this to seem mean, we accept works of all media - Traditional, digital etc.
But we do have Rules to which we would appreciate people would follow, as we normally have to 90% of the time tell people what the rules of the group are.

We do have people submitting SONIC work, examples of so:
.:Sonic:. by luna777 AMY AND SONIC by GaruGiroSonicShadow

We don't accept these as they are not what the group is about.

BUT. - If there were done in a more human form such as these:
Sonic by MatchLight Sonic Amy HP Style by RosaKiddy

Then your work will be accepted into the group (Provided they're placed into the correct folder)

We've also had those who give us Kemonomimi work which is a human with animal ears an tail (such as Kitsunes, Nekos an so forth)- these aren't accepted into the group. They're not ANTHRO as we have stated this group is.

We do have a quality control which we wish to uphold, which is an image that has a basic grasp of anatomy and also that it's clean and clear.
We DO accept mature art provided they're along the lines of what I have already stated.

Now here's what a lot of people do.
When they've been declined, they tend to think if they re-submit they believe another mod will accept them into the group. This isn't the case, once your art has been declined, unless we've asked you to re-submit it into a specific folder, you are no longer try with that piece, if you would like to know why you were declined, merely ask and we will tell you.

We also tend to get a lot of people asking WHAT are we asking for when we say we would like 'mordern' anthros and we point them to the same direction each time.

We have this image to which provides a good idea on what we would like to see from you:
Modern Anthro chart by Kayshae and Anthro Differences by KrisiChiki

These are to help you see what we accept as well as help you distinguish the difference of what people tend to confuse with a lot.

We do have a rules and guidelines page if you would like to read that -which I believe would be a benefit for yourselves- modern-anthro.deviantart.com/j…

If there is any questions that you have and can't be answered, be free to ask us as we are here to help you, as you are here to help us expand in this group.

Thank you - Hades.C.

:note: About our group.
To inspire and be inspired! To share your art!
We do not aim to insult the classic anthro art and artists. One who truly loves anthro will enjoy all kinds of art. :+favlove:
However, considering that there are a lot of artists who prefer drawing anthro in a more modern way we ,the founders, decided to make a group for them. We would also like to promote modern anthro art because, sadly, there are people who consider modern anthro (furry) inferior and we are here to change that.

:emailsend: Joining.
Just click the "Join Group" button on the top of the page.
You must, of course, enjoy and love anthro art. It is not necessary for you to submit artworks regularly. You can simply join to enjoy the art.
All join requests are automatically approved.

:deviation: Submitting Artworks.
All artworks should be Modern Anthro Art. If you don't know what modern anthro is please visit the links on the top. All artworks should be finished pieces. For a more detailed information about submissions please read the rules & guidelines.
Submission limit is currently 1 per week for every member.

:star: Suggesting to Favourites.
Any member and non-member may suggest favourites so feel free to add!

:groups: Affiliates.
We are accepting affiliates of all kinds as long as your group is a serious one. Groups made just for the fun of it will not be accepted.

:bulletorange: Staff positions are currently open. Please send us a note if you'd like to apply.

The only type of anthro I'm seeing here is Furry, so why not call the group "Modern-Furry"? Or do you also accept and promote other categories of anthro? :)

Furries are anthros by definition, so what I would replace in the group name is not anthro, its the Modern. IMO it should've been "Flat-Faced Anthro" to begin with, which is more nailing than modern...
To add to your arguement, we don't actually promote furries, as furries are in most cases not flat-faced.
We also promote other kinds of anthros. If anyone wants to come up with a humanoid Toaster Anthro, thats fine with us. All we ask for is for them to be more humanoid than the Brave Toaster.

So if "flat face" (referring to muzzle features) is your main factor, how would you tell apart a "modern" toaster cyborg from a "classic one"? They don't have muzzles or paws.

I see what you mean with the modern vs. Classic concept, but as far as I can tell it's only applied to furries.

Look up the Brave Toaster or Thomas the Train. Those are samples of classical, not very humanoid anthros. If someone comes up with a concept for more humanoid other objects, not even necessarily just cyborgs but Trees or such, then we accept them. So far though we havent had many submissions to them simply because they're not very common.

I just caught a glimpse of something in your art pool that looks almost exactly of something i seen somewhere. I wish  know what but right now my notebook has troubles with navigating this site (its a really old Notebook pc) so i cant really go an see but i just remember it looked like something that is....i think...a ref sheet? a friend of mine had one but mature and well, still the same with the poses being the front and back and it the arms being, maybe a little out. But thats all the comparing i can guess from the top of my head from the glimpse i saw of the drawing that was on the top of the stack.

if im not clear, too confusing or..whatever,
i can reply back and maybe clear it up a bit. I do confuse people alot and it's hard to explain what i mean to say sometimes. Very sorry if i say too much or anything.

If there's a case of art theft, tracing or similar let us know which deviation it is and we'll take it off the group :o

well i don't think its art theft, though...i just wondered if it ere from an artist that may be popular. I'm having a hard time to put it in words (literally, this art i been thinking is from a friend but the art is mature though...so it's kinda hard to describe.) But, if there is a chance to perhaps show it without breaking the conduct, i suppose i could. It's nothing gritty but to being what an actual model..is? Again, im terrible...but i dont think its an art theft. Can you skim what may be using templates? If maybe some were maybe somewhat linked to FA (furaffinity)?

If you could, I think it would be best if you can send us links with the works you mean. Its almost always easier to work with a visual reference :)

the work though is something i think that isn't posted on any art site. Though, m just trying to figure if the drawing my friend has (that he got from HIS friend...very, very long story.) and wondered, if it may be from someone famous and either used a template, or some...other...guy's...ref? I don't totally know >w< but what i can say the image was, was something being front and back view. I could maybe try and link but the picture my friend has is...mature. But like what an actual model would be in life drawing classes. uhm..college level?

All i can say is is that it was a front and back view of a female fur. Maybe like classic i suppose. <x.x> um....maybe i can do something to show what i mean, but i don't know for sure its safe. but, i think i know one from a google search i think is perhaps nearly close to it.

maybe i can note about it? its not theft, or anything i believe. it just somewhat made me curious whether the work is similar or not, and if its from the same artist. And if it isn't, was the artist famous and giving stuff away?

So far it sounds like its a general template thats used - if its a char ref, many people tend to do similar poses, deliberately or not copying from someone else or creating something that looks similar is not unusual. If you are afraid of the mature tag, you sure can note me about it, I'll be happy to help, if I can.
